Perhaps one of the most common diseases that your child is in their early school years are the hundreds of varieties of stomach virus. After a day, you should see a marked improvement. Some children recover with a good appetite, while others feel a kind of drippy and exhausted. There is nothing wrong in allowing them to stay home from school one day to allow recovery. They often lose a large amount of electrolytes and can be a kind of weariness from lack of nutrition, when they were sick. If your child is voracious, be sure to start slowly. Offer broth, soup, cookies, or something that is important but not heavy. You should probably try to stay away from milk for a day or two to be sure. Whatever you do, make sure you do not eat or drink too much at once.
If the virus persists and seems to last and comes with the intermittent pain and fever, you should take your child to the pediatrician. Indeed, viruses can be collected back-to-back school – but it could be food poisoning, salmonellosis, or worse, like appendicitis.
It can be very difficult to maintain a stomach virus from spreading around your home. Typically, you run through all the children and sometimes adults.
